Wind and flowers

It's been really windy here. When I was leaving work the other day I saw that the wind had knocked down flowers and branches from a beautiful flowering cherry tree. So I brought them home and put them in water. I really like the double blooms.


This photo is a little blurry - but you can still see the structure of the blossoms.


On the downside, the cold wind has been making it downright horrid at the pool. Plus a trio of ducks have taken up residence there. I know a little too much about biology and parasites to want to swim with ducks. Ew.
