Believe it or not, but VFL Wolfsburg is the German football champion of 2008/2009. Heck, I don't believe it! Granted, my absolute dream result would have been for Hertha to win the championship and VFL to be vice-champion. Also, I would have preferred if Hertha had won today and Munich and Stuttgart had played a tie, so that Hertha would have at least made the second place. But be that as it is, I am absolutely thrilled and amazed that the town I was born in, and where my family lived (my Oma Käthe and my Uncle Dieter would have loved this!!!), is now German champion!
