Freediving Palau

Herbert Nitsch has 29 world records in freediving to his name. Today, he will attempt his 30th with a constant weight dive (diving on one breath with fins to a certain depth and returning with the same weights, i.e., weight belt) to 124 m. If he succeeds, he will have bettered his own standing record of 123 m by 1 m. Check out the following website to follow the currently ongoing competition Vertical Blue 2010: http://www.verticalblue.net/news/. And for wonderfully relaxing entertainment, check out these videos of Nitsch freediving Palau. Aside from the amazing depths he goes to, these clips are simply breathtakingly beautiful. Enjoy.
