One of my favorite things about summer is all the fresh fruit. The best way to take advantage of it, in my opinion, is to bake it into a crisp, cobbler or pie. And I like to use "
crumps" as a topping - a recipe from my mom's mom, who, for whatever reason, called them "

1 cup flour
1/2 cup sugar
1 stick (1/4 pound) butter
Mix the flour and sugar and then cut in the butter to make crumbs. Top fruit and bake at 350 degrees for 40 minutes or so.
