Green Dress

I finished sewing a dress over the long weekend. I used a pattern that used to belong to my mom, it's from the late 1960's I think. She never used it and it was in perfect condition.
Here's the finished dress
I didn't have enough fabric for the collar so it's just a regular jewel neck. I'd heard that vintage patterns have much fuller bust lines than modern patterns (they must have had SOME bras back then!) and this was certainly the case with this one. I don't know much about pattern alterations, and so, even after re-doing the darts, the dress has some fit issues.

See all those gaps and wrinkles? Oh well, I'll still be happy to wear it on weekends.
I learned a lot making this dress: inserting a zipper, smooth facings, and hand stitched hem; so it was a good project. Next I need to learn about fitting alterations.
