Winter afternoon...struck me as a good time to make cookies.

I used a simple sugar cookie recipe. It said they were "drop cookies" (meaning you can just scoop the dough with a spoon and drop it on the baking sheet). But the first batch turned out kind of lumpy.

So the next batch I rolled into more of a ball shape before baking. Those are on the right.
Regardless of the shape, they tasted good.

Especially with tea and a book.
